The Management and Support Team of Nelson's Funeral Home sadly announce the death of Mr. Nickley Lee Hudson, 61, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.   Mr.  Hudson departed his earthly life Monday March 14, 2016, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Funeral services for Mr. Hudson will be held Saturday, March 19, 29016, 1:00 p.m. at Rock Hill Baptist Church, 1060 Shivers Green Road, Ridgeway, SC 29130.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Nickley Lee Hudson was born on November 21, 1954, to the late Nick and Bertha Long Hudson.  He departed this earthly life on Monday, March 14, 2016, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Winnsboro, South Carolina.   

Nickley graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1973 and he later met and married Evelyn Lavern Butler on September 25, 1981. Nickley was a member of Mt.Olive Baptist Church since early childhood and he later attended Rock Hill Baptist Church.

Nickley was employed at Diamant Boart for a number of years.  After leaving Diamant Boart, he became employed at GKN Automotive and he worked there until his health declined. Before he became ill, he loved to work on cars and play pool.  Nickley was a very humble man and he loved reading the Bible and taking care of his family.   

Nickley leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 34 years, Evelyn Butler Hudson; three children, Tekia Butler Rabb of Lugoff, SC; Nikki Latrell Hudson and Rasheed Dorell Hudson both of the home; a special niece and grand nephew, Kenisha Martese Askins and Anthony Riel Brown of Hopkins, SC; five siblings, Edith (Henry) Saulters of Salisbury, NC, Flora Mae Sylve of St. Mary’s, GA, Catherine Fee of Bronx, NY,  John D. (Marie) Hudson of Salisbury, NC, and Daniel (Sheldon) Hudson, of Ridgeway, SC; four brothers-in-law, James (Diana) Bush of Blythewood, SC; Calvin Butler, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Collis Scott of Columbia, SC, and  Carl (Janie Mae) Butler of Columbia, SC; three sisters-in-law, Mattie Glasgow, Mary Anne (Harold Sr.) Durant  of Columbia, SC and Hazel (Stanley) Seibles of Rockingham, NC; two aunts, Annie Geiger of Ridgeway, SC and Alberta Chestnut of Bronx, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
